Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is known as America’s friendliest airport and this title has been earned due to the hard work and dedication of the airport staff. When you arrive at the airport, if you have any concerns or questions then all you need to do is ask one of the award winning Navigator Volunteers. They are easy to spot in their distinctive purple jackets and if you require any assistance they are always happy to help you.
Accessibility to and around Sky Harbor is superb. For wheelchair users there are elevators and ramps to every terminal and gate, which provides peace of mind, especially if you need to access any of these areas quickly. Also, there are disabled rest rooms, wheelchair accessible telephones and water fountains located throughout the airport. Members of the Navigator Volunteers team will always be on hand to help you and make your time at the airport comfortable and hassle free.
Sky Harbor also offers excellent facilities for children. If you are traveling with children then why not make use of one of the many play areas available, these can be located after security in terminals 2, 3 and 4. There are also shops which children will enjoy, offering a range of toys and activities to play with at the airport and aboard the plane. In addition to this, there’s a selection of restaurants and cafés which cater for children including specialist children’s menus and facilities such as high chairs.
If you are traveling with a pet they are more than welcome at Sky Harbor. There are pet parks available at each terminal and areas available for travelers to exercise their pets, give them water and let them have toilet breaks. Just remember to keep your pet in a carrier or on a leash until you leave the airport
